We distinguish between planned and unplanned sets. A checkmark next to the exercise set appears when a client completes the exercises you have planned for them. If a client adds extra sets to your program, or logs an entirely unplanned workout, those sets are marked with a cross instead of a checkmark.
Looking at the tracking in the image here, we can see that the user has completed four sets, but only the first three sets were planned by the coach. The fourth set is manually added afterwards by the user and is also completed.
