Recipes in meal type needs different adjustment type

Updated over 2 months ago

When building meal plans, there are three scaling options to choose from. For each meal type, a scaling method is defined.

  • Adjust by Ingredients (Best for recipes serving a single person)

  • Adjust by Portion (Best for recipes designed for multiple people (e.g., a family), where the client receives a portion of the total dish)

  • Raw Mode (Recipes are not scaled at all – scaling can be done later)

Sometimes, the system may create a meal plan that includes the same meal type, featuring both single-person recipes and recipes serving multiple people.
For example, at breakfast, most recipes might be yoghurt, skyr, or smoothies, but there could also be a baking recipe that makes multiple buns.

This dilemma can be solved by:

  1. Select SETTINGS

  2. Changing the meal type to RAW MODE (which resets all recipes in that meal type to their default state)

  3. Right-clicking each recipe in that meal type and manually adjusting whether it should be scaled by Ingredients or by Portion
